Secrets Buried in Plain Sight: A Conservative's View

Secrets hidden since the dawn of time aren't ancient relics but inconvenient truths in the current narrative. Let's expose these truths to see what's hijacking reality.

Have you ever noticed how the loudest voices often ignore the biggest secrets? In the world of history, politics, and culture, things hidden since the foundation of the world aren't in some dusty old book, but in the very narratives spun around us. These secrets involve who controls the narrative, what history we learn or ignore, when ethical boundaries shift, where power lies, and why truth seems like a forgotten relic. Let's pull back the curtain on some of these inconvenient truths.

First on the list is the historical rewrite or, should I say, historical vandalism that's happening under our noses. We live in an age when those in power cherry-pick history. Selective amnesia allows certain events to be heralded while others are buried, depending on the fashionable cause of the day. Have you noticed how the educational system paints certain figures as heroes without a blemish, conveniently ignoring their flaws? The truth is plain to see if you have the courage to look past the propaganda.

Second comes the media, our society's self-appointed truth-tellers. They're supposed to watch over the powerful, yet seem more interested in sensationalism than facts. The recent decline of fact-checking is alarming, yet people still trust them blindly. Ask yourself why. What stands between the average citizen and a clear understanding of world events when media giants steer the ship on murky seas?

Third is the looming specter of technology. Big Tech holds unprecedented power in dictating what information circulates in the global village. They say they're connecting us, but what else is happening behind those 'Terms and Conditions'? Every click we make is a piece of data handed over, and for what? Who owns this data, and why should they have it in the first place? Is it about offering us free services or is there a darker agenda at play?

Let's not forget academia. Number four on my list is the ideological monopoly held over educational institutions. Universities were once called ivory towers of impartial knowledge, yet today they're breeding grounds for an exchange of homogenous ideas. How did we allow critical thinking to be substituted by intellectual conformity? When academic debates celebrate diversity of opinion once more, we might begin to uncover wisdom locked away by blind allegiance.

Coming in at number five, there's the collapse of individualism. Ever since collectivism started sounding so appealing, we've watched the erosion of individual rights and personal responsibilities. Society is urging the young to mold their identities based on group affiliation instead of personal merit or character. What's more, this groupthink is being pushed by voices that only preach unity when it aligns with their specific worldview.

Number six: the erosion of traditional values. It's almost unfashionable to speak of family, faith, or flag in positive terms. The very glue that holds our communities together is being criticized, while alternative lifestyles are glorified. Why does everything that built the foundation of civilization need to be torn down? These are not artifacts of the past but tools for future stability, a reality ignored by too many.

Seventh, ask yourself why we're so obsessed with appearance over essence. Public discourse has shifted towards who shouts the loudest rather than who makes the most sense. In today's arena, it seems like style has, ironically, trumped substance. Policies are judged not by their efficacy but by how they're marketed. We've allowed ourselves to be convinced by glitter instead of gold.

At number eight, the economy looms large. One would be forgiven for thinking it thrives on a perpetual crisis. Remember how rapidly some sectors shut down in the face of instability, while others raked in profits? Look at who benefits when the economy struggles and ask why they've planned for rainy days on the back of the working class.

Civil liberties come in at number nine. The era of increasing surveillance and controlled speech shows a growing disregard for privacy. Surprisingly, the pursuit of security sometimes tramples over fundamental freedoms. The question we need to answer is how much freedom we're willing to give up for an illusion of safety.

Finally, consider the global agenda. Who's working behind closed doors, dictating global policy? Why should unelected entities have a say in how nations govern internally? Follow the money and see who's really calling the shots. Their plans are rarely in the open because their goals aren't aligned with ordinary people.

Hidden gems lie beneath the everyday noise, with their unassuming truths overshadowed by trending topics and the whims of cultural titans. Some might be stirred by these assertions, but rest assured, they're voiced to spark thought rather than comfort. What remains is to not blindly follow the narrative, but to seek the essence that the powers that be would rather we ignore.
